Scandinavian

Scandinavian design is a design movement characterized by a focus on functionalism and simplicity. It also includes the use of natural materials, such as leather, wood, and hemp. Furthermore, a Scandinavian interior design is often influenced by a connection to nature, which combines natural shapes, abstraction, and the use of natural elements.

Industrial

The industrial design aesthetic is every bit as cultivated and nuanced as those of centuries prior, with no detail or component left unconsidered. Defined by a raw, unfinished, and almost factory-like sensibility, an industrial interior style showcases utilitarian materials such as wood, metal, and cement in a way that proves that form and function can be one and the same. Exposed brick, piping, and ceiling beams are just a few industrial giveaways, while stripped floors, visible ducts, and even ship bulkheads have been spotted in editorial loft spreads.

Victorian Modern

“Modern Victorian.” has all the pretty elements of classic Victorian style but it’s been given a contemporary twist to make it more accessible for today’s homes and homeowners. Modern Victorian style is pretty and romantic but never overwhelming, so it’s very important to find balance.

Modern Luxury

Luxury is an extremely vague term. For some people, it relates to an aesthetic, while for others, it’s overindulgence. But when it comes to interior design, we can all agree that “luxury” is actually a lifestyle. The concept of luxury interior design can be achieved through various styles, all of them bringing something new to the visual palate.

Urban Modern

Urban modern interior design is contemporary and industrial at its core, but not as aggressively so as a completely ultra-modern or decidedly industrial design. Urban modern decor often has a softer side to it; from warmer tones to highly designed furnishings to relaxed soft furnishings, urban interior decorating places equal focus on comfort and brilliant design.

Minimalist

Modern Contemporary

Modern and contemporary are two styles frequently used interchangeably. Contemporary is different from modern because it describes design based on the here and now.

The primary difference separating modern and contemporary design style is that modern is a strict interpretation of design that started in the 20th century. Contemporary on the other hand, is more fluid and can represent a sense of currency with less adherence to one particular style. For example, contemporary style may include curving lines, whereas modern design does not. You can refer to modern vs contemporary article for more information.
